Starting April 1, 2023, the JPO will implement a revised standard for restoration.

The previously required “justifiable reasons” under the due care standard will be relaxed, and restoration of applications or rights will be possible by paying official fees.

This change will make restoration procedures more accessible for various deadlines, including JP National phase entry, Examination request, priority claim, and others, in Japan.
